シド at Singapore

OMG. one thing off my bucket list, watching シド liveeeee. and i cant believe i actually watched them LIVEEE. it is an event held at Clarke Quay and had other acts such as flumpool who were not bad too.

to be honest, they were so much better and magical than i remembered my laruku concert.

SET LIST:
monochro no kiss
uso
one way
VIP
natsukoi

IMAGINE. THIS DUDE. 1M. AWAY. FROM. YOUR. FACE.

photos by my friend cyrus cause i was too excited that mine all turned out blurry.

they were really close and friendly too with the audience, with their random acts, cute emcee in english and a-w-e-s-o-m-e performance. i was waving nonstop when mao came over to the side, so i shall let myself believe that he was waving back to me when he waved the first time. cause like, he was right that in front of me, and only i was waving. i think i was a nuisance. waving and screaming at awkward times.

BUT I COULDNT HELP MYSELF SO SORRY.

ahhh. they are flawless, really.

seeing mao up close, like 1m away, i was so awed by how pretty he is, dude he looks EXACTLY like on the magazines. so nope, no photoshop magickery. it is pure mao power. us mortals can go hide in a hole right now.

his voice was so damn awesome too. hitting every note so damn effortlessly.

i was on the right of the stage, the same side as shinji. but mao and aki came over too. mao was RIGHT IN FRONT but i froze and omg. #fangirlmax after the performance  shinji was bending over towards us and almost fell. sucks that even when almost falling he still looks handsome as hell. -.- didnt really get to see yuuya cause he was hidden behind the whole time.

sigh. they are so so so great. im going crazy with happiness that i got to watch them perform!

TUTORIAL - SKYRIM TREASURE MAP

on the ever on-going quest to decorate my room, i've decided to make a skyrim treasure map! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

kind of blur/reflective. meh.

it is different from the actual map you get when finding treasures with slightly more details. and i love it on my wall. HAH.

started off with this muslin my mom had lying around, and the map from skyrim as reference! i wanted to put up the map but it was printed glossy and all, looking too pristine for a medieval map so i just left it in the box.

decided to do the area around Winterhold since my photoframe is only A4. and the College is there so yeap. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

traced the map out lightly in a 2B pencil and soaked it in coffee to darken it! wrong move. the coffee erased the pencil marks to oblivion. (HAH punny.) ohkay so uhm. coffee dye then drawing would be a genius move. i ended up redrawing most of it.

traced it over with a 0.3 ZIG. the pen catches on the muslin a lot but that gives the quilled-messy-uneven feel so yaye.

added colors. since i didnt have markers/color pencils and wanted something more, natural, i used powders. ie. eyeshadows from my broken palette. hahaha. have tonnes of browns lying about so i used a brush to pick up the pigments and press them into the muslin.

smudged and stuff.

after that i further snipped and burnt the edges since it was >A4. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

DONE.

one of the qualms i have is that it lacks details so it doesn't look as interesting/intriguing as i hoped. hrm. maybe i might do one on other materials that is easier to draw on.

L'ARC EN CIEL 20TH ANNIVERSARY - SINGAPORE

my new window seals make sunlight turn into rainbows.

tonight, i ticked something off my bucket list! something which in my wildest dreams i thought i wouldn't be able to. i went for my first jrock concert! and not just any, but LARUKU'S. i kind of thought that i would definitely have to go for a jrock concert, but for it to be laruku's, -tears-. (T(エ)T)ノ

seriously, i watched their 15th anniversary dvd like at least 10 times. (T(エ)T)ノ

seeing them LIVE, ahhhhhgawdddddd.

im glad i didn't buy the front seats. it was non-elevated so with my shortness sure get blocked! actually i was quite blocked even at my elevated seats, lucky the security made the people in front get off their chairs.  also, i would've combusted if i see him that close up! ♥♥♥

super cute bag!!! ♥ the towel was cute too but sold out. this bag is like the last piece. hee.

saw yuling there! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

only pic i took cause i was too busy being smothered by their awesomeness. fook. i almost cried at
瞳の住人. like tearing till can die. ヽ(TωT)ノ

some photos from cyrus:

 My Heart Draws a Dream.

i love this photo!

Hyde blowing us a kiss. HAHAHAHA.

we all sang the start of Anata and Hyde came in after that. it was another teary omasdbag moment. overwhelming sense of ohmygawwddd.

then there was Revelation, XXX, My Heart Draws a Dream, Ready Steady Go and other classics. i was in a rather constant state of shock and awe so yea. can't really recall the sequence of the set list. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

the emcee was super funny!!! dear laruku, seriously, thanks for the effort to emcee in englishhh!!!

first Hyde and his Singapore Sling story, with his kisses.

then Ken with his 6 pink merlions + Tiger Balm infatuation.

Tetsu's epic "DO YOU WANT TO EAT MY FUCKING BANANA?! DO YOU WANT TO LICK MY LOLLIPOP?!" made me die laughing. hahaha. yes yes. we ALL want it. ヽ(*♥ω♥)ノ

Other than his epic drum solo, Yukihiro was quietttt.

we managed to get a photo together after the whole concert!

yijiajia!!! everyone there was extremely dressed up. like lolitas, punk or something bordering on that. hehh. i was in full black. and so was Hyde, so BOOYA! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

ahhhh so smexy omg. the funny wriggley dance he does. hahaha. ヽ(* ♥ ω♥)ノ

i hope they come back, and perhaps the audience would be more coordinated!!! and prepared with lightsticks. else it doesn't feel as epic la. wheeeeee~~~. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

withdrawal symptoms. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

so happy that they played this songgggg. like omgggggggg. ヽ(* ♥ ω ♥ )ノ

COWBOY BEBOP: KNOCKIN ON HEAVEN'S DOOR

Cowboy Bebop is one of the oldschool anime that i like alot. its an art style thats not too pretty boy yet still highly attractive to me. these days most of the anime/manga are of ridiculously pretty boys that looks like girls and the violence/humor in them are not as plentiful. sigh. either that or im running out of my usual genre(animes just arent as violent/dark anymoreeeee) and straying to others(shoujo) hence the pretty boys.

-----

From wiki:

Cowboy Bebop (カウボーイビバップ Kaubōi Bibappu?) is a critically acclaimed and award-winning 1998 Japanese anime series written by Keiko Nobumoto, directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, and produced by Sunrise. Its 26 episodes (“sessions”) comprise a complete storyline: set in 2071, the series follows the adventures, misadventures and tragedies of five bounty hunters, or “cowboys”, travelling on their spaceship, the Bebop. The series explores several concepts involving philosophy, including existentialism, loneliness, and existential ennui.

The series' art direction centers on American music and counterculture, especially the beat and jazz movements of the 1940s–1960s and the early rock era of the 1950s–1970s, which the original soundtrack by Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts recreates.[1]

Cowboy Bebop was a commercial success both in Japan and international markets, notably in the United States. After this reception, Sony Picturesreleased a feature film, Knockin' on Heaven's Door (2001), to theaters worldwide and followed up with an international DVD release. Two manga adaptations were serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Asuka Fantasy DX.

Yes yes. TL;DR. essentially its 3 paragraphs how you should watch it cause you wont regret it.! ive watched the anime series at least twice and recently i stumbled upon the movie.! the movie feels like an extended episode. nothing too special but if you like a series, the more the merrier.! i dont ever want it to end. the sense of emptiness when it ends. le sigh.

best anime + music combo ever.

the plot goes along the usual bounty hunting of a criminal but there are poignant scenes that make it memorable. the philosophical nature of certain bits and the sad romance of Vincent. -wipes tear away dramatically- also, its one of the few instances that Spike seem human.! hehh. i love Ed too. the way she wiggles and speaks. hee. ノ(´・ω・)ノ

make a gif
one of the scenes that kind of sum up my 2011. lets hope 2012 will be more forgiving.

the bgm for the movie is nice as per all bebop sessions. hahaha. the last fight scene between Spike and Vincent had the nicest music i feel. around the 1:43:00 mark. the jazzy feel. yaye to nice bgm.! also, watch the  movie in its entirety including the credits. ( ´∀` )
