chubsiew birthday lunch at Five & Dime

i've heard of Five & Dime for a while and i've finally got to go there with vtm! it was chubsiew's birthday so we all went for a nice birthday lunch. (●^ (ｴ) ^●)/

big brekkie with scrambled/sunny side ups, sauteed mushrooms, sausages, toast, baked beans and bacon. i liked the mushrooms a lot! the scrambled eggs can get a little boring so the mushrooms were good. the bacon wasn't that fascinating but well, it is still bacon afterall. the toast were fat and fluffy so that's nice (●^(ｴ)^●)

beef panini.

creme brulee with berries.

earl grey choco tart with vanilla icecream. i couldn't taste the earl grey at all cause the choco was so dense! vanilla icecream was yummy though.

super love and happy that we got together from secc. yaye vtm!

Simple Christmas Cards DIY

IT'S DECEMBERRR. which means CHRISTMAS. yes yes. i'm one of those who celebrate christmas as a purely commercial festivity. an excuse to get all my supplies together to make cards for people i care about. sort of a mushy card to thank them for them being them. so if you get a mushy card and get goosebumps reading them, too bad. HAHAHA. (●￣(ｴ)￣●)/

scissors, glue and paper is all you need! kinda.

i've had this zigzag scissors since primary school. still working super well!

cut various stripes of zigzag and straight lines.

glue them all onto a different colored sheet.

hole punch some red paper for baubles.

cut the tree out!

i used glitter polish for this cause i ran out of craft glitter. not too bad since the shimmers are smaller.

there were other variations of colors but i thought green+red was the most festive! the rest looked like christmas on LSD though so i scrapped them. hahaha.

ah. my new hello kitty nails + pink + glitter. i kind of feel this saccharine overdose everytime i look at it. but not enough to regret. hahaha.

Eye bag Makeup

FINALS HAVE ENDED. this semester was insane. yet it is the first semester which i felt i actually learnt anything of use. so that's good i guess. (●´∀｀●)

one thing from it was also eye bags. insane eye bags and dark rings.

so about eye bags, there is a new(?) trend in japan where makeup is actually used to enhance eye bags rather than conceal. and i was wondering why. how could eye bags possibly be great? so i tried it out.

Eye-bag Tutorial:

add off-white highlighter across eye-bag, creamy ones are better.

using a brown shadow that is about 2 shades darker than skin tone, swipe it on the crease. blend a bit but not too much else it just looks like eye rings.

since i already have eye bags, not that much of a difference. though strangely the eye bags which make a person look more tired does create the illusion of bigger eyes? (●￣(ｴ)￣●) since eye bags are part of the natural eye area, so extending/emphasizing the eye bags does make the eye proportionately bigger compared to the other features.

one side with one without. the left side of the picture is the side without, but uhm. i naturally have bad ones from the past month so yea.

ok, end of post. hahaha. was just bored and curious about the trend. as strange as it sounds, it does make the eyes look bigggerrrr.

can't wait to read the books i just borrowed from the library. do you know the loan quota now is 12 books?! i went insane. lugged back 10 super heavy books with my groceries but so happy. hehh.

Black Nails

pastel nails got boring after awhile so i went and got some black polish! downside of black nails for me is that i look like a emo/goth kid since i wear black mostly to begin with. hahaha.

from black french which got boring in a day. so i added the zebra stripes. it was from a nail sticker, kind of an instant manicure with art. then the bling joined.

when the previous nails started chipping, i painted them full black. which looked dreary so i added some gold stripes. ahhh. i miss long nails!
