FOOD PORN

so my diet consists mainly of coffee and sweet stuff. which is horrible. but i've a horribly sweet tooth and zero tolerance!!! especially if the food is cute. fml. my health is kinda affected in the way i fall sick quite easily. been waking up with flu-like symptoms for the past few days. sigh. it is not a full blown flu -holy antivirus bless me please- but having half a flu is enough to make me groggy and all. sigh. lucky my boss is super nice and gave me days off to rest!

now, to the unknown addiction to unhealthy food and some relatively healthier ones!

meesuah for dinner yesterday. nice change from rice or fast food...

so yesterday was the start of my 1 week icecream ban. but icecream turned up at my door last night and i just couldn't resist. /(T^T) so i failed in less than 24hours. great.

went to din tai fung for lunch just now. there was a promotion for red bean + molten chocolate xlbs. i was like uhm, i like sweet stuff, but that is seriously strange. strange to the extent of dubious. but decided to try it since it was novel and will end on 3rd june! weeelll...if you've not had xlbs before it will be fine. just sweet pastry. but if you've eaten xlb before, you will be expecting like something savoury or soup gushing out. instead, you get chocolate. hahahaha. so it is damn mind boggling. other than being a tad too sweet, it isn't too bad.

yeaaa. choco and redbean instead of meat and soup.

deviated from normal and ordered mushroom noodles. not bad! but only if you really like mushrooms since it is 99% mushrooms 0.5% minced meat and 0.5% others. like ba chor mee on mushroom crack.

TUTORIAL - PORTAL CAKE

TUTORIAL: ASH AND PIKACHU CROSS STITCH

using a small scrap piece of cross stitch cloth, i was wondering if i can cannibalize any 8bit art into a piece of art for my growing wall deco. then i remembered my Pokemon Yellow and tadaaaa! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ seeing pikachu follow me around makes me really happy for some reason. true bromance/love. hahahaha.

in progress. rusty cross stitch skills = took 4 hours odd to complete

here is the pattern i made from Excel. left the numbers at the side so its less of a bitch to count etc. quite a small piece. i color coded the Black as Grey squares so that the lines show up better. not too sure about the exact numbers for the colors i used though since most of my embroidery threads are random bundles. hehh.

basically, colors needed:

Deep red

Blue

Pale Peach

Ivory/White

Yellow

Brown

Black

Deep green

the current wall which my messy desk faces. hung my keys at the door so i hopefully won't miss them as much. i realized i've not drawn for quite some time. hrmmm...

perfect red wooden frame.

while i was starving at home today, help came and whipped up this god damn delicious yummy poscsvbesfnqaggg pasta for me. #luckyluckylucky the bacon, the chicken, the mushrooms, the garlic. ohmytian. i even ate greens!!! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ thats HOW yummy it is.

TUTORIAL - SKYRIM TREASURE MAP

on the ever on-going quest to decorate my room, i've decided to make a skyrim treasure map! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ

kind of blur/reflective. meh.

it is different from the actual map you get when finding treasures with slightly more details. and i love it on my wall. HAH.

started off with this muslin my mom had lying around, and the map from skyrim as reference! i wanted to put up the map but it was printed glossy and all, looking too pristine for a medieval map so i just left it in the box.

decided to do the area around Winterhold since my photoframe is only A4. and the College is there so yeap. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ

traced the map out lightly in a 2B pencil and soaked it in coffee to darken it! wrong move. the coffee erased the pencil marks to oblivion. (HAH punny.) ohkay so uhm. coffee dye then drawing would be a genius move. i ended up redrawing most of it.

traced it over with a 0.3 ZIG. the pen catches on the muslin a lot but that gives the quilled-messy-uneven feel so yaye.

added colors. since i didnt have markers/color pencils and wanted something more, natural, i used powders. ie. eyeshadows from my broken palette. hahaha. have tonnes of browns lying about so i used a brush to pick up the pigments and press them into the muslin.

smudged and stuff.

after that i further snipped and burnt the edges since it was >A4. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ

DONE.

one of the qualms i have is that it lacks details so it doesn't look as interesting/intriguing as i hoped. hrm. maybe i might do one on other materials that is easier to draw on.

MOVING BACK

this semester's move back home was relatively painless. had 1 huge luggage of clothes, 1 medium luggage  of books, 1 duffel of electronics and a few bags of random clothes. still have to go grab my makeup and fragile stuff though. compared to last semester's 2 trips where the car was entirely filled!!! or maybe it was easy this semester cause i didn't do much of the shifting. HAH. packing was still tiring though.

moving back was a strange feeling this time round. the previous times, it wasn't anything since i knew i was going to be back after the holidays anyway. but this time, i would not be going back.i thought i would be sad, but somehow i felt quite neutral. guess it is cause i know i will still meet with the people who matters. dinners and all. also, with my busy schedule now, i think others will make better use of d504. be around more, contribute more too.

laruku songs were available. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ but obviously it is damn hard to sing and i cant read the lyrics fast enough. (T(ｴ)T)ﾉ went over to the chinese k after that. wahahaha. desmond and chervin's One Night in Beijing was fawesome.

my eyes tend to get 1 parallel and 1 tapered. i can't find a way to make them symmetrical. photowonder is the best android photo edit app ever. it is like, photoshop on the go. hahaha. i love the autumn filter. which is used in most of my photos. it desaturates without making me look like a ghost. wahaha. my hair is a teensy bit longer.

BLINGED UP SANDISK

decided to hang my dreamcatcher here. hehh. together with my laruku ticket and aki's address.

found a tiny green box with crystals in it so i blinged my sandisk! wahaha! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ a downside of using this antique woody dresser as my "study" desk is that i keep thinking if i spill anything on it like nail polish or stuff, my dad is so going to kill me. used this slow-acting epoxy glue i found in my dad's toolbox/shelf which is a lot better than my 10minute fast drying on!!! more time to manoeuvre and make changes in case of screw ups.

weeeeelll. now this tiny little thumbdrive won't get lost in the dark huge abyss of my bag anymore!!! it isn't as smooth as i thought it would be. meh. still sparkly though. added a ring to it too. think i got this ring for like 3 for $6 or something but it is tarnishing abit.

now i can hang my thumbdrive on my dinosaurs too. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ
